Saved?

Sin was man's choice - not God's choice.

People are sinful

God is not sinful

(Rom 3:23 NIV) for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,

Sin caused separation from God.

(Rom 6:23 NIV) For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

(Prov 14:12 NIV) There is a way that seems right to a man, but in the end it leads to death.

(Isa 59:2 NIV) But your iniquities have separated you from your God; your sins have hidden his face from you, so that he will not hear.

Because we have sinned we can't get into heaven without Christ who makes a way for us to get into Heaven.

(1 Tim 2:5 NIV) For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus,

(1 Pet 3:18 NIV) For Christ died for sins once for all, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God. He was put to death in the body but made alive by the Spirit,

(Rom 5:8 NIV) But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

God has provided the way for us to get to heaven. But we must make a choice. We must trust Jesus as Lord and Savior and receive Him by personal invitation.

Jesus said:

(Rev 3:20 NIV) Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him, and he with me.

(John 1:12 NIV) Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God--

(Rom 10:9 NIV) That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

Here is how you can receive Christ:

	Admit your need. (I am a sinner)
	Be willing to turn from your sins (Repent).
	Believe that Jesus died for you on the cross and rose from the grave.

Pray to receive Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior through the Holy Spirit.

Sample prayer. I know I am a sinner and need your forgiveness. I know you died for my sins. I want to turn from my sins and follow You.

(Rom 10:13 NIV) for, "Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved."

(Eph 2:8 NIV) For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith--and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God--

(Eph 2:9 NIV) not by works, so that no one can boast.

(Heb 10:25 NIV) Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another--and all the more as you see the Day approaching.
